Friday: Families are invited to wrap up a week of Shining Jesus' Light at 6:15p in Fellowship Hall. We'll sing this week's songs, meet our missionary representatives and get a chance to donate one last time, hear about the Bible lessons taught during the week and wrap up the drama. Then one of our missionary representatives will take a pie for either the girls or the boys! After our "family sized program" we will get to fellowship with ice cream on Main Street! We look forward to celebrating with you!

Pelican Snowballs is available for purchase tonight after VBS!

The team that brings in the most $$$ will put a pie in the face of one of our missionaries! Who will win? The Boys or the Girls? The kids can bring their money in each night to add to the excitement.

This year’s Mission Project is “Preescolar Cristiano Brisas del Este”. Which in English is “The Eastern Breezes Christian Preschool” . This summer we have a mission team headed to Santo Domingo West in the Dominican Republic to serve with Pastor Ernán José Castillo and his wife, Cinthya Sosa and those in the Preschool.

In their community many of the parents must leave and travel far away for work. This leaves many of the small children
without adults to care for them during the day. Pastor Castillo and his wife want a safe place children can come and not only learn academically but can also learn about God, so they have built a preschool to meet that need.

The money we bring in this year at VBS will complete a wall needed to go around the preschool to help keep the preschoolers there safe and secure. It takes cement blocks to build it and then paint to finish it. The preschool also needs stucco and paint on the walls of the preschool so that when it rains the rain won’t come inside the room and get everything wet. This is a way to shine Jesus light in the Dominican Republic to the children and their families.
